Day with me in Ramadan

My day started by having a meal known as sehri or suhur before the first prayer of the day. Eating one roti and salan with yogurt and ending it with chai, the milk tea. Pray Fajar, read some Quran, wash dishes from earlier, and go to bed for 1 to 2 hours. Waking up and getting ready for university, attending classes from 8 pm to 2 am. Back home by university bus at 4 am. The world already seems dizzy and dry, everything which I may never like to eat giving me water full mouth. The stomach is growling from hunger and the mouth is dry like a desert. This all reminds me of those people who live mouth to hand, barely having enough to eat on a daily basis, but still surviving. Made me realize how blessed I am to have unlimited food to eat whenever I want. Observing everyone around me keeping their fast like me, gives a sense of unity and love of religion, this all is the blessing of Allah Almighty.

Not only avoiding eating or drinking but also avoiding every other harmful thing like anger, fighting, cursing, screen time, and many more. Praying Duhur right after arriving home and Asr after a while, then getting 1-hour sleep until aftaar. Feeling a little guilty about how my mom and younger sister worked in the kitchen and prepared for the aftaar but my energy is drained, and I cannot have the will to help them. So, I fill my guilty on weekend by preparing some dishes. After aftaar, praying Maghrib and regained my energy level to do some assignments work earlier given in university, preparing multiple presentations and memorizing them. Also helping the youngest sister in her study and teaching her different subjects while having a cup of tea, the chai. Before going to bed at midnight I pray the fifth and the last prayer of the day Isha with taraweeh, waking up the next day and repeating it all.

The point to be noted is Ramadan is not only the name of hunger, no food or water for a day, but it is a name to avoid bad, protecting yourself, being thankful for everything you have, being more generous and kind to others, and be the best version of yourself with all due respect of this blissful month.
